Why Linen?
Tired of sweaty nights or stiff bedding? Linen sheets are your answer.
→ Cooler than cotton (up to 3x more breathable!).
→ Stronger (lasts decades!).
→ Softer with every wash.
But picking the right linen is key. Skip the trial-and-error – here’s your no-nonsense guide.
What is GSM?
GSM = grams per square meter. It is used to measure fabric density. This can be directly linked to the weight, softness, breathability, or durability of bed sheets.
Understand its range:
< 150 GSM: Too thin. Feels flimsy, prone to wrinkling, or wears out faster.
160–190 GSM (golden range): Suitable for most people! Breathable and durable, becoming softer after washing. Suitable for year-round use.
> 200 GSM: Heavyweight. Suitable for cold climates (e.g., Canadian winters). May feel stiff initially but becomes soft and luxurious over time.
Pro tip:
At SVictory Symbol, our all-season linen bedding uses 170 GSM European linen—balancing breathability with comfort and durability. Some blankets use 400 GSM linen, suitable for winter use.
